Did not get a good’s night sleep but the food was excellant

The hotel is in an excellant location within a ten minute walk of the blue mosque and other sites. The staff are very friendly and always available to assist and offer advice however the hotel rooms were the worst I’ve every been in. The bed was very uncomfortable and the noise was unbearable. If you flush the toilet be prepared to hear a loud nosie for the next five to ten minutes. The walls are so thin you can hear everything from the rooms next door. Havign spoken to other guests at the hotel they all had the same complaint. It’s unfortunate as the restaurant n the roof of the hotel is excellant, I had the best meal that I ate in Istanbul. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to others, try and stay on the main road near the Cistren, they appeared to be alot nicer

Find a Different Hotel in This Area

This hotel is in a GREAT location in the old city -- less than 5 minutes walk to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, etc. and the building has a lot of charm/character. However, the neighborhood is very noisy in the evenings, with lots of restaurants/bars, which makes sleeping difficult if you don’t want to be up all night partying. The beds were awful (mattresses and linens) even by European standards. The hotel has a lot going for it as far as location, but needs some serious comfort updates and soundproofing.

Great Location

The two best things about this hotel are the great service and location. It is located near many of Istanbul’s great attractions. The buffet breakfast is also very good. The building is old and the elevator very small. Our room faced a very busy neighborhood street which was lined with outdoor cafes. The noise was continuous until 2 a.m. Had we stayed longer we would have requested a room on the other side of the building facing a much quieter street. Other than the noise factor I would recommend this hotel.

Traveller's tip on local attractions

Great location and easy walking to the palace, several mosques, other sites and public transportation.
