A pleasant surprise
The exterior of Hotel was a shock as it looked nothing like the site photos, however once inside that changed the staff at reception were very pleasant and helpful.i had a twin room at front of hotel on the third floor,it was a good size with spacious en suite, spotless and quite comfortable, cleaned and towels changed daily. The ladies who did the rooms could not do enough nothing was a problem. The restaurant is beside the hotel breakfast was quite varied,I had dinner there some evenings and found food good and very reasonably priced.Staff also very helpful re buses cabs directions places of interest etc.in fact the only negative in my ten day stay was there were a lrge number of Italian students in hotel who were very noisy particularly at nite and they tended to take over the pool area in the afternoon. This I found was not unique to The Windsor a lot of the 4* hotels in the area were exactly the same.I visited a few which were close to the Windsor and more expensive and I can honestly say I was pleased having seen them that I had booked the Windsor. Two days after I returned I realised i had left a quantity of jewelery in a bag in my room some quite expensive i called hotel spoke to manageress Theresa and no probs whatsoever she had the bag ......was most helpful and forwarded to me by registered post.Returning to malta in Sept and will be staying at Windsor.

Not impressed
This Hotel is not by any means a four star hotel. Just about a two star. The food was not great. But on the hotels favour its not far from the beach.

Reasonable for its price
The hotel is close to the beach and with easy access to public transport to Sliema Ferries and Valletta. Staffs are friendly, but it would be nicer if they could provide more accurate travel information, i.e. if certain service will be available around certain time... Room is not large, but reasonable for its price. Breakfast is good.
