Worst in newcastle
Stayed in room 202 - the room was filthy, mould growing in the kettle, horrible smell in the room, tv had no ariel, walls grubby, blood stains on the iron board. Staff uninterested in helping. I stay in hotels for around 200 nights per year and this is the worst ever!!!! We stayed there when the great northern run was on so no option for moving to another hotel - all fully booked. Have complained in writing, but no reply yet.

Shabby
Shabby hotel, almost feels like a series of bedsits upstairs. Glad we only stayed for 1 night. Too far fron Newcastle centre to walk. Lights hanging off walls, general tatty appearance. Downstairs lobby toilets were covered in vomit still at 11 am. Good Breakfast, reception staff pleasant.

Not pleased
On my first night of three I was kept awake by drunken characters in the hotel singing until around 3.00 am. Upon enquiring at the reception desk I was advised the occupants had been asked to leave that morning. There was quiet for the second night. On the third there was a birthday party below in a reception room. The music was so loud I could not hear my tv in my room or sleep and the party continued until 11.40 pm. I rang to complain and the staff appeared to be amused! This old hotel with its tiny rooms needs to decide if it is a hotel for travellers or an entertainment centre. No apologies were offered.
