Beautiful Barbados!!!

I stayed at the Hilton Barbados from Sept. 19-26th. I had a wonderful time. The hotel is very clean with an open-air lobby. The rooms are contemporary, very nicely decorated. They were a bit smaller than I expected. I had a bay-view king size room and the view was wonderful. The hotel staff was very professional and warm. Housekeeping did an excellent job with maintaining my room. The restuarants are a bit pricey. The beach was very clean. The only improvement I would like to see is an improvement with their landscaping. Their landscaping is nice, however, I would suggest they add a bit more color. Other than that I really enjoyed my stay and plan on returning again next. year.

There is a restaurant around the corner called "Brown Suga". I would suggest stopping by for a meal.

The Hilton Barbados and the Expedia package were a tremendous experience. I didn’t know I was getting a free full-breakfast every morning or a personal airport taxi transfer to and from the Hotel, excellent !! The property was very new and exrteemly well maintained. The employees where very friendly and coudn’t be more helpful. Special thanks to Tamara at the front desk, as she was very helpful in transferring money and making sure everything was perfect!! Taxi’s to anywhere where always available at the front of the hotel. Pool area was beyond pleasant, you could spend the whole day at the pool and beautiful beach. Just pick a place and the pool/beach guys will bring you an umbrella. Great happy hours at the poolside bar, and great food in the high-end restuarant "The Grille". The workout room was so nice it was pleasurable to work-out (everything was working!!) During my 8 day stay it was apparent that the Hilton was one of the best resorts on the entire island - very glad I was there !! Oh, and room-service was beyond compare, with orders often delivering in 10-20 minutes, and the order was always correct. While out dining make sure to try the flying-fish for a true Bajan meal. You’ll love this place !!

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Where to start - Barbados Blue is on location at the Hilton for scuba-diving - 5 shipwrecks on one dive - Very Cool, or a simple snorkeling trip with the sea turtles!! Mt. Gay Rum distillery is a short taxi ride to the other side of Bridgetown, and "The Gap" is great for cocktailing/dining near the beach. Don’t forget to explore the old fort adjacent to the hotel, you can be the pirate scourge of the Caribbean !! It’s hot so be sure to have a cool rum-punch on hand at all times !!
