Ordinary but good
The room was small but not overly small by London standards. The shower had a very odd entrance but we managed. It was a nice neighborhood and convenient to a breakfast cafe where breakfast was much cheaper. We only had one small nit; we asked the hotel desk to order a taxi and they ordered a limo, but we only went to Paddington station which actually was close enough to walk to but not with suitcases and one person on crutches. We didn’t realize until almost the end that hair dryers are stored in the Desk drawers. Free apples every day, nice. Heathrow express leaves from Paddington station often and very convenient. Also a tour bus stop is nearby.
Get the original bus tour, tickets good for 24 hours including river trip. We did this in two cities, so in the second city you get a 10% discount. In London we were able to go almost everywhere this way.

Over night stop
The Hotel was clean and tidy and the staff professional and helpfull.The room was in the basement but again clean and tidy. The Hotel is close to the underground and has restaurants, shops and pubs all in walking distance. A good base for a trip to London.

About average hotel
I’d say the hotel was about average for a European hotel, some of the staff was very nice, although some of the staff was rude. During our stay, housekeeping failed to show up one day, so we had to get clean towels ourselves, and had a full garbage until the next day. While the hotel location was great for getting around London on the tube, or getting to/from Heathrow Airport, I would not stay there again unless it was a lot cheaper than possible alternatives.
