Disappointing
Basically the hotel is not what it is advertised to be. Maybe we just had the grottiest room in the place but we have stayed in many hotels with the same star rating and price range and have had a much more comfortable and relaxed stay. It’s the simple things in life like hot water in the moring which you expect and appreciate. Stains on beds and pokey outdated bathrooms are not on my list of must haves! I certainly won’t be back here again and had I researched the hotel more I would not have visited in the first place.

Staff very friendly
Staff friendly, rooms are basic but very clean. The double bed was very confortable. Restaurant was not open on Sat night but food served in lounge/bar. Excellnt food! only let down was we were overdressed eating in louge/bar. Bar area was a bit run down and basic. overall would go back as food and comfort was very good.

Disappointed
I had been to The Busby 11years ago and clearly it needs some upgrades. Our washroom handbasin was badly cracked and therefore leaked. The biggest disappointment were the mattresses which were rock hard and therefore extremely uncomfortable. The hotel was clean and convenient to the railway station. The food in the restaurant was very satisfactory too. I think if they do some upgrades this could be a lovely quaint hotel
