Nice hotel although not close to nightlife

The hotel itself is nice enough and the reception staff are very helpful. There is a fair size bar with a projector TV which had Champions league games on both nights which was idea although these weren’t in English. The rooms were nice and we had 3 single beds when we were only expecting 2 and a camp/sofa bed. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room at all and on the first day two handmen came in to fix an issue with the window while we were trying to sleep! There is enough to do in the day near the hotel as there are a couple of shopping centres nearby and its close to metro and casa de musica, although the nightlife seems to be well away from this area. There is a pool available but it is at least a 20min walk from the hotel but again the staff are helpful and the pool was free although we had to pay for swimming caps.

Good Value

Spent three nights here and thought it was a good comfortable hotel. Two large shopping centres within a few minutes walk and a couple of decent eateries the same.

Traveller's tip on local attractions

Walk down to Porto old town approx 2 miles. Taxi will cost 5 euro to get you back. Also can hop on the metro at casa musica and change once to get down to the port area . Well woth it as you go over the "iron" bridge.
