Good hotel if you don’t mind the 15/20 minute walk into the city centre.

Quality Hotel!
We booked to stay in the Hotel la Fortezza after reading some good reviews on trip adviser. We weren’t disappointed. The hotel was very charming and had a oldy worldy feel inside yet the rooms were also extremely modern and comfortable, the rooms were also a very good size for a European hotel and were kept extremely clean. Overall had a wonderful time - couldn’t fault it - the staff were very accommodating too and gave us directions to all of the sites. the breakfast was also really decent with a good choice. As for the position of the hotel - i was really pleased as it was lovely and quiet near to a beautiful park and was about a 15min walk to the centre

Tip for eating out - try ZiZis - (in the square behind where the indoor market is held) the steak was amazing!

Fantastic City Hotel
Wonderful hotel with a beautiful reception and very comfortable rooms. The hotel is set a short 10 minute walk from all main attractions and there are nice resteraunts near by if prefered. Lots of parking nearby and hotel carpark for reasonable price. Breakfast is good. Deffinatly stay again if (or should i say when) visiting Florence.

Try the markets nearby, they were full of bargins easpecially silk ties and scarfs and leather bags!
