relaxing break
We stayed for a Saturday night break. The room was good with tea and coffee making facilities and a iron and hairdryer. The bed was a bit bouncy and soft but ok if you like soft beds. We had drinks in the bar which was pleasant and the staff very friendly. Drinks are a bit expensive but normal for hotel prices. we had dinner in the hotle restaurant which i would recomend a set price meal with about four menu choices. It was excellent meal with good service if slightly on the slow side but then we were in no rush. We also used the lesiure center which was nice to be able to have a swim and jaccuzi but could only get a cup of coffee inside could do with a light snack and drink menu as it is a nice location to relax by. There is a village pub nearby and shop so a nice walk if you fancy it. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment so afew bare walls arround the corridoors but this in no way detracted from our stay. All in all a good hotel and value for money well worth trying their restuarant. They also do leaiure weekends and theme nights which also seemed reasonalbly priced.

Not impressed
Wall paper peeling. Floor was dirty. Paint peeling off the windows. Hole in the wall. Changed rooms, staff were not happy about this request. the 2nd room was slightly better. The best thing about the room was we found money on the floor. The spa/pool was ok, but after getting out of the pool, and walking around the pool, we had black feet.
