Unspoiled, authentic, relaxing, amazingly beautiful: the ultimate disconnect !

Ideal place to stay if you want to avoid the tourist crowd. Even for just a few days, I felt SO far away from the real life: it was the ultimate disconnect! And the staff is here to pamper in such a nice and sincere manner. Also loved the massage I got on the patio overlooking the ocean! I will go back to the Sea-U Guest House for sure, without hesitation.

Something different on a beautiful island

Bathsheba is a really beautiful spot, and Sea-U must be one of the best hotels in town (although with it being so small, there isn’t much choice!) The rooms are basic but clean and comfy, and the staff, especially Sea Cat, are brilliant. You can arrange for him to accompany you on a snorkelling trip, or for a hike to Bath beach along the coast. We had dinner at the hotel a couple of times - both times delicious, and it was great to meet fellow travellers. There is an honour bar in operation too when the staff have gone home, which was handy - the rum punch is recommended! Just a couple of minor things on the down side - as breakfast was not included in our Expedia rate, that turned out to be quite expensive for what was on offer as we had to pay for a full breakfast buffet and couldn’t just order individual items from the menu. However, there is a small kitchen in the room so most mornings we made do with items bought from the supermarket. Also, we did find a cockroach in the bathroom - but hey, that’s life in the tropics I guess!

Lovely stay!

This is the most amazing guesthouse! It’s so peaceful and beautiful, one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. The house itself is beautiful in a colonial-style and the dinners were delicious! The style is homecooked, Caribbean food. Each the staff was fantastic. If you want total relaxation in stunning surroundings with great food, I can’t think of anywhere better! I’d love to go back.

Traveller's tip on recreational activities

You really should hire the car because it’s the most practical way to see the island. However, my tip is that you should really get Satnav! The offical maps and roads don’t always correspond (!) and there are very few road signs.
