Disappinted
Chose The Peery as very happy with stay in April. Disappointed - had to wait 10 minutes outside even though they knew we’d be late, couldn’t get into room as key difficult to operate, no hot drinks available after 11.30am in lobby and no provision for hot drinks in rooms. Beware of basin next to bed! AND blinds that don’t go up. Car parking rather expensive.

Not impressed
The historic character of the Peery Hotel is obvious when entering the lobby. Our room also had a historic feel upon first glance. The torn curtains and broken window shade in our room just gave the feeling of uncaring neglect. The historic, romantic quality was replaced by old and rundown.

Great Hotel!
The hotel was great, but I didn’t realize there were differences in the sizes of the rooms as well. I happened to get one of the smaller rooms, which was comfortable enough with a king size bed, but the bathroom was VERY small. It was fine for a business trip, but when I go back for a vacation, I am picking a bigger room.
