Very Impressed
My stay was brief, however it was delgihtful. The room was spacious and well appointed. It had a full kitchen,but the hotel offered 24 hour room service. The beach was breath taking. The hotel staff was exremely courteous and helpful. There was a mall and numerous eating establishments in close proximity. However, you should rent a car to enjoy the area.

Out of town, but very good
For the price we paid via Expedia, this turned out to be excellent value. The breakfast was superb and with one exception, the staff could not have been more helpful. The Blue Elephant restaurant next to the hotel was top class and the spa was good too. (I especially recommend the Thai massage, the best I have ever had.) It costs around 7 KD to get into the city by taxi but the hotel is airy and the room (we got upgraded for some reason too, hurray!) had loads of space and good facilities. I would certainly return here, particularly for the "pleasure" aspect of our trips. Business-wise it is half an hour or so from the City, but that’s just a matter of factoring in extra journey time.
Traveller's tip
Make sure you have the name and address of your hotel written in English and Arabic as not all taxi drivers know areas outside the immediate town centre and can drive round aimlessly, not wanting to admit they are at a loss to find your destination.
