There’s a reason why it is so cheap
The managerial staff at the Howard Johnson were unhelpful and had no knowledge of the local area or transport so we had to rely on local residents and taxi drivers for information. They tried to make us check out a day early than what we paid for and when they realised they were in the wrong they offered us no apology and made it out to be our fault. The room was cleaned well everyday and the maid was the only friendly and approachable member of staff we met. Overall the Howard Johnson is cheap but not good value for money and is better off being avoided.
