Hotel Anna
Hotel Anna was an excellent choice, not only for the great service, helpful staff, and wonderful breakfast, but for its proximity to the train station, MarienPlatz, and Oktoberfest grounds. My wife did some shopping near the hotel and found items that she cannot get in the US.

Wasn’t as good as expected
One thing we have to admit is the great location of the hotel. The arrangement of the bathroom is not ideal. They didn’t put any curtain around the bath tub, so when you have shower, you will just flood the floor. Some hotel stuff were really rude. Is that a typical German way, I was wondering...? We checked out, paid the bill and then went out to museum before picking up our luggages and catching flight in the evening. When we got back around 6pm, the hotel receptionist told us that the bill was not correct and we had to pay some more. Moreover, they positioned the situation as if it had been caused by us and we had done something badly wrong! We did ask the stuff to apologize and change her attitude. On other logistics, the hotel staff seemed to be disorganized. We paid for our limo at the reception, but apparently the driver was told wrong information or wasn’t briefed properly. When we reached airport, the driver insisted that we hadn’t paid yet and was arguing with us for a few minutes before checking with the hotel.

very good hotel
The hotel was very nice, good breakfast,very helpful staff. It seemed a bit expensive, but it could just be Munich prices.
