Would recommend this hotel to all of my friends and family

I am a single senior citizen (female) traveling alone so I was definitely in the minority. The staff seemed very sensitive to that and made me feel very welcome and made sure I was getting taken care of. I had a little difficulty with the room internet connection and help came within 5 minutes. They suggested I use the TV based internet and I found it very user friendly and having your e-mail come up on the big screen very nice. I had drinks and bar-b-que in the new bar on the roof and feel in love with the view. I ate breakfast in the hotel every morning and mixed the Eastern with the Western and don’t think I could find a better breakfast. Most of the staff speak enough English to solve most of your problems and they are warm and gracious. The front desk arranged a cruise on the river and the travel department helped me buy a ticket to my next destination. I felt pampered the entire time I was there.

Traveller's tip

When it is very hot and humid in Shanghai, a short walk to the bridge will provide you with a cooling breeze after a long walk. I stood on the bridge for 30 minutes to cool off before going in the hotel as I was there in early Sept.
