Perfect, but small rooms
Classics Bastille is in a great location, 50m from Charonne Station (Metro), 15 min walking to Bastille Square. There are great bistrots nearby and fantastic boulangeries. Very positive: a fantastic breakfast, uncommum in most of the Paris budget hotels. Positive too: free Internet access. And great staff, always available to help you from the best bus to look around and the curious restaurant in the area. Negative: the room is just the bed (old bed). There is no space to open a second luggage (we were two, my wife and myself). The bathroom is small too. Anyone with more than 100k cannot take a shower there. Imposible. But for a convenient stay in Paris, where you came to the hotel just to sleep, Classics Bastille is a great option.
If you have time, reant a car and go to Valle do Loire, a fantasctic region full of castles, 200 km far from Paris. Great views, great wine, great food.

A Good Base to Explore From.
This hotel is situated just outside the main centre of the city but with a Metro stop just 2 minutes from the door it made a great base to explore the city from. If you don’t mind the walk you can even walk into the centre in about 30 minutes. The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms were on the small side but this wasn’t a problem as we didn’t spend much time there except to sleep. Breakfast was the usual continental fare and there was plenty of it even if the choice wasn’t extensive. There were some restaurants in the area and the Algerian restaurant next door did very acceptable and affordable food. We would certainly recommend this as a base to visit the city.
Plan what you want to see and if you can walk around the city, you see much more. Take some comfortable shoes if walking.

Small, but clean with Excellent Service!
What a phenomenal staff! Everyone was fantastic, friendly, and the room was extremely clean. Highly recommend this hotel for those on a budget. It was a bit small, but hey, who goes to Paris to stay in their room??
