Excellent hotel, great location

We visited Bruges in November 2009. Its an excellent time to go as there aren’t too many tourists. This hotel is located in a quiet area but its very central and takes about 10 mins to walk to the Markt. Our room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Expedia allowed us to chose a room overlooking the garden (rather than the canal) and this was delightfully quiet. Staff were friendly, helpful and very discrete.

Its expensive to eat out (and I live and work in London) so take plenty of cash!. There are lots of lovely bistros away from the Markt and its immediate vicinity so look out for backstreet places whilst you are exploring during the day. Check opening times as some restaurants are closed on weekday evenings (although I did travel there in November so this might not happen during the peak season).

just a little problem with 2 twin beds made into one. We would have preferred one bed but I would st

Get a canal view- it’s worth the few extra bucks.
