Forty bucks from the OTambo Airport
The Sunnyside Park Hotel, in Johannesburg is a nice old conference hotel, the breakfast buffet was very nice – I went down @ 7.45 and at 8.15 my bed was stripped, despite my bags and stuff still being in the room – so you can’t fault them on efficiency and there is no after breakfast snoozes for me!
It’s miles from the airport near a very fancy up market residential area.

I won’t be back
We arrived late evening after a long journey and were offered a room that was small and run down. The dried soap from the previous occupant was in the bath and details of her breakfast requirements, together with her name and other details on the dressing table. We were even handed her bill! We were delighted to be leaving early next morning to resume our journey. This was the only hotel of our trip that was a disappointment and that we would not return to.

Hard to find and billing challenged
Our guide spent about 45 minutes trying to find the hotel. Moreover, when we went to check out, the front desk wanted to charge us again for the room. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay.It seemed to be a popular place for locals to have social functions, so it was lively.
