Very relaxing place
We loved our stay in this hotel. We spent 4 nights there end of September-the aim was to get away from it all, and we wanted a very quite, relaxing place - and this hotel is perfect for that. Has only 40 rooms, but during our stay only maybe 15 have been occupied? (out of the season already). Couples only, no kids - which was abolutely serene. The weather was still georgous (28-30C), the pool very clean with lots of sun beds and mostly deserted - the most we ever seen was 8 people. Very friendly welcome at our arrival, I specified online we wanted a double bed, top floor room with sea view - and that’s what we have got. The room was spacious, clean, rose petals everywhere, little hearts, complimentary champagne, strawberries, fresh fruit and water - lovely. Very close to the beach, but we preffered the serenity of the hotel. Great brekfast (champagne included!), unitrusive service all day (coctails and food directly to your sunbed or loungers/chairs around the pool) We loved the food in the restaurant, but quite pricey, so we only eaten there once. There are 3 restaurants on the beach, quite basic, but fine. Went to Albufeira one night. My only dissapointment is that we did not manage to get a table in Vila Joya Michelin star restaurant - the reception said at arrival it would not be a problem, as it was out of season, but at the end they did not manage to get us in any of the nights(even they own the place as well) - well, maybe next time?
Traveller's tip on nightlife
There is no entertainment as such in this hotel (altough you can get DVD’s, books or play snooker in the bar) - we did not mind at all, but I can imagine, that if you are after a nighlife, you might be dissapointed - Albufeira is the place to go then.

Great spot for a relaxing week.
This place was exactly what my wife and I wanted after a few very difficult months at work! Short walk to a wonderful beach, good food, and great helpful staff. Would 100% recommend this place if you are looking for some relaxation.

WONDERFUL,RELAXING HOTEL!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Gale Praia. The hotel was amazing, staff very friendly and helpful, great pool area, lovely clean rooms and just a perfect place to relax.Plenty to choose from at breakfast but wouldn’t really recommend dinner at the hotel(a bit pricey!) The restaurant on the far left down at the beach was by far the nicest. I would recommend this to anyone who just wants to chill and wants away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life!
