Great place to relax
A really good place to spend a few days, particularly if you have just spent some time rushing around Lisbon. The hotel is excellent, rooms large and comfortable, breakfast amazing and the food in the evening very good indeed. All staff really helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The only downside is getting back to Lisbon airport as it costs 50 Euros by taxi but we used the train back to Lisbon, the tram and then the airport shuttle bus. It was all very easy and took us about an hour and a half! We would definitely recommend the hotel - and the sea views are wonderful. Visited October 09
We spent the autumn half term there and the weather was 25/26 degrees so very pleasant to sight see.

very impressed
We found the Vila Gale Cascais to be a fabulous hotel. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful and the whole hotel including the pool toilets was spotless. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone of any age group. It is a ten minute walk from the hotel to the town with only a slight hill and there is beautiful views of the harbour. We will definitely return here.
We got the 44 bus from Lisbon Airport to Cas DO Sodre station in Lisbon which cost I.40euro each.The train to Cascais leaves very regularly and is only 2 or 3 euro each. A taxi from the train station to the Vila Gale was only 5.00. Taxis from the hotel to the airport are 50 euro but that is just the service the hotel uses, you may get a cheaper one from the town.

had a great stay here
This hotel is nicer than it looks on website. Our room was large and comfortable.Breakfast was fantastic.Staff pleasant and helpful.Nice bar.Close to town. Lots to do. Loved it
restaurants in town centre mostly the same. Try the area behind the town hall some really nice ones there
