Not impressed

Somehow significant difference in actual versus quoted price, plus additions. Only one employee spoke english, not very much or too well, contrary to the multilingual staff note in the description. Could hear every flush of a toilet from the room, sounded as if going to come through the ceiling or wall. Not very sound proof, hear every noise/voice in hallways from the rooms (in our case every sound from the lobby, too). And, from hallways, could hear anything from a room. Located at the top of a long steep hill, long hard walk from closest train or bus stops. Good workout for a competitve endurance athlete, even without hauling luggage. The 700m to St. Peter’s Square in description must be straight line on a map to nearest loction of perimeter, not actual walk or considering all entrances being on the far side of perimeter. Road does some switchbacks, it’s a long steep "700m". Maybe the shortcut to train station is a 700m walk, thats’s about 1/4 of the way to the square.

Very comfortable and affordable

We were on the 4th floor with our own private large balcony. The bathroom was spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. The price was very reasonable, considering the three of us, and breakfast was included...with a real cappucino.

Traveller's tip

Know exactly where the hotel is on a detailed map. It is very difficult to find. Not even taxi drivers know where it is. However, it was worth looking for.
