Ariel House - Dublin
The Ariel House was a very charming B&B establishment located on a nice street. It was mostly quiet - the metro system is located approximately a block away, so you could hear the trains at times. I didnt have a problem with this though, and admitedly, my window was open. Very convenient if you need to use the metro though! The location is a very nice section of town, and I felt safe at all times there - day and night. The staff there are very nice and helpful. They printed out separate pages from their hotel guide for me so that I could share the list of restaurants and activities with my friends who were at another hotel. They were also prompt with my 0530 wake up call, and had prepared a breakfast to go bag for me to take along. The sit down breakfast was very good with a fruit/cereal/bread bar with juices, and then you could order eggs, bacon, the Irish breakfast, etc. to go along with it. I would definitely stay here again!
Traveller's tip on local attractions
If you dont mind a bit of a walk, you are not located far from Graffton St., the Temple Bar area and Temple College. And even if you are unable to walk for long distances, it was very easy to catch a bus or taxi for a short ride there. On the positive side, the Ariel House puts you away from the noise and crowds, without taking you too far from them.

Awesome spot to explore Dublin from
I arrived at this hotel not knowing what to expect. Having never been to Dublin I was quite worried about the type of area we would be in etc... But what a fantastic surprise this place was. Extremely friendly staff, a comfortable room. The hotel has a gorgeous facade, the area was a beautiful leafy street, and there was a Dart (public transport) system to the centre of Dublin, one minutes walk away! We were within ten minutes walk of the coast and about 30 minutes walk into the middle of Temple Bar area. If a morning run is your idea of fun we had a really enjoyable early morning jog down the coastline, and arrived back for a superb breakfast at the low price of €8 (everything included, choices ranging from Irish Country breakfasts to Eggs Benedict.) My only hope is that this review doesnt make the place get too booked out!
Use the Dart Transport to take a trip out to Howth. A full day pass for two on the Dart is €10. This will let you travel anywhere the Dart takes you! Howth is a very beautiful seaside town and the trip out is certainly worth the time. There are fantastic cliff side walks if you enjoy that type of thing. Plus the town is a photographers dream!

Lovely Hotel
I enjoyed my stay at the Ariel House Hotel. The staff were very friendy, the room was clean, and the rate was very reasonable. The hotel was a bit off the "beaten path", so if you dont mind walking or taking a cab, I would highly reccommend this place:)
