Cheap & chearful

Staff friendly enough... Room wasn’t made up when I checked in, they apologied said it would be ten minutes...I popped out for a look around town... two hours later it was still not finished...mmmm Referbs were supposed to be finished in Sept, but there was still some work going on and as a result the internet access was still down... suggest you double check with the hotel if this is important to you. There are no close internet cafes (one over the road looked out of business), but there are three pretty close to the old Roman palace (can’t remember the Emperor’s name.. started with G methinks). Breakfast was included, always good, it was a simple fare, but did the job. Only cooked food was eggs & occassionaly bacon every second day, but had plenty of cereal, fruit and bread.

Good quality for a 3 star hotel

Nice hotel, the room was basic and in need of upgrading but it was clean and spacious. Everyone working in the hotel was very friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were very good. The hotel is only a minutes walk from the sea front and is ideally situated for visiting the local market. I only have a couple criticisms - the location is on the corner of a main road, so was quite noisy and the hotel was undergoing renovations when we visited, we were woken early a few mornings to workmen drilling on the floors above.

Exceptional value for money

This is not a luxury hotel, but for the price, you can’t expect it to be.Staff very helpful and friendly.Air-con in rooms works(essential in August).Breakfast adequate and the hotel’s location is convenient for the bus station, train station and a short walk into the city centre.
