Oceana Hotel
The room was nice. The price of the breakfeast was outreagous, 10 euros per person. The sheets could have been cleaner, some black stains on it. The room was very confortable, same for the bed. One other downside, you have to have a valid phone number to receive your username and password for the 15 min of free internet. Otherwise you have to pay.

Good location!
Me and my partner stayed in a basic comfort double room August 09, we were very pleased with the hotel (new and modern inside) and the location, as it was right on the port front, near the shops, tourist office, buses and metro. Only a 15 min walk from St Charles station, where you can easy get the shuttle bus from to the marseille-provence airport. We did not eat at the hotel, but there is lots of bakery’s, cafes and resturants very close by. The port and shop area where the hotel is based is quite noisey just because it is such a busy area day and night, but noise didn’t cause a problem. Lots of homeless people (drunk and bit crazy ones) all around vieux port and hotel area which may put some people off, but it did not affect us or our trip. Overall a nice area and place to go to, would recommend knowing and speaking some French language to go to Marseille.

Great location, lovely hotel
Our room was clean and modern, recently renovated and had a balcony overlooking the old harbor. Very comfortable and a location that can’t be beat. Front desk staff was friendly and eager to help with plans and restaurant suggestions.
