Excellent
Location is great as well, but this was one of the best overall experiences I have had, and I travel often.

Nice Hotel, but too many extras
The hotel was very nice and clean, but I was dissappointed with all the extra charges. The charge for the "not so high speed" internet bothered me the most. With most of the competition providing this service for free, I was surprised to have to pay so much. Not to mention the extra charges for parking and a view of the harbour.

Shedding some light
We chose this hotel because it had a Hertz rental office in it and we discovered it was considerably less expensive to rent a car in downtown Halifax than at the Halifax airport. (The car could be returned to the Halifax airport with no drop-off fee.) The hotel is well located for those interested in walking around the wharf area of Halifax. We were pleasantly welcomed and our room was roomy and comfortable. We had explored Halifax a bit on foot and we returned to the hotel in the evening, there had been a blackout. Some emergency lights were on. The staff helpfully handed out glow sticks for guests to use until the power came back on.
