Large, beautiful room with downtown city lights view

This is an updated cutting-edge place to stay. Our Visit was great from check-in to check-out. The staff was extremely friendly, room service arrived as requested in the morning and we were upgraded upon arrival to a large corner room with great city views. The rooms are decorated in a minimalist fashion and there isn’t not alot of privacy between dressing area and bedroom, so this would only be a great choice for a couple - not so much to share with friend or business partner. Would definetly stay again!

Traveller's tip for business travellers

Not a good choice to share with business associates due to limited privacy between the room and dressing/bath area.

Trying too hard to be hip

The bar on the roof is awesome and obviously their main attraction (don’t miss it), however, I was given a room on the 3rd floor and I could still hear the thumping music from the roof on the 12th. The hotel is just OK for me, but I don’t think I’ll stay there again in the future. I’ll just go there for the cool rooftop bar instead.

Traveller's tip on dining

There are many little restaurants and bars in the area that you may not expect but you have to look for them. We had dinner behind the LA Public Library at Petrus (ate outside) and it was really great. Highly recommend you walk around in the area to see all the little places to eat.

Awesome

One of the coolest and sexiest hotels I’ve ever seen. The phone in the room has a button that says "alibi" and one that says "motivational speaker". The shower (in some rooms) has a see-through glass wall. Parties at the rooftop pool are fun and if you stay at the hotel you can get free entry. The parties I went to started off with some laid-back drinking and got going a bit more late on. The decor throughout is a refreshing change from the usual soulless corporate hotels. Enjoy!

MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) and the Disney Concert Hall are within walking distance.
