Avoid at all cost! Overpriced! Terrible!
Hotel is situated in the basement of the airport. Rooms have no windows. Like living in a submarine. Rooms are very very small. Breakfast hall shared with airport employees (mess hall) Rooms are way overpriced in order to "catch" tired travellers not in the mood to travel 5 minutes to a decent hotel. The aother airport hotel "Hilton" is just as overprices, but accomodation is 1000 times better.
Avoid this hotel. Bunk beds for families. Not suitable if you have babies

Excellent for late or early flights but a bit subterranean
I booked this hotel for my family as we had a late arrival in Helsinki and would need somewhere convenient for that evening. The hotel is actually part of the ground floor of the airport so it could not have been better placed. The staff are good and we had a room for four consisting of two sets of bunk beds. The room was only just big enough for us and our luggage. Its most notable feature was a lack of any natural light - I think we were underground. There is a broadband computer, a bar, airport shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel has two big saunas (this is Finland!) The breakfast was a buffet which the airport staff also took. I believe Helsinki town centre is about 30 minutes away. As a stopover this hotel was perfect, but I would not recommend it for a holiday base.
The swimming pool in Itakeskus also has excellent weight training facilities. It is cheap to get in and is architecturally amazing: hollowed out of solid granite it doubles as a nuclear bomb shelter. They will hire you swim wear and a towel. There are tanning booths, and of course steam rooms and saunas. Its good in any weather but particularly when it is really bad outside!
