Great location in Palma Mallorca
I chose Tryp Palma hotel for its great location near the bus and train stations and the city centre and because the Tryp chain is so reliable. I thoroughly enjoyed ny stay and found all the staff from Paco and his team in reception to the waiting and housekeeping staff friendly and helpful. the only very slight downside was the coffee machine at breakfast which needs replacing as it is often on the blink.
Avoid the Placa Major or any other places where the food is shown on laminated hoardings. Soak up the atmosphere in such tourist traps but with a drink or coffee not an overpriced poor meal.

Handy for Palma City
We found Tryp Palma handy for the city- 5 mins walk (south) to cafes and shops, 25mins to the Cathedral, 4 mins to bus stops (including No 1 to/fro the airport). Decent quality hotel. In 30deg+ weather the bedroom aircon /just/ coped! Breakfast dear at E14 pp(ie 56 GBpounds for 4, so declined and went to cafe). Dinner in hotel restaurant was good.

Would definitely book again
Hotel in business area of Palma - good location for bus/train station and easy access to airport. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms comfortable and great shower in bathroom. Easy to walk to main part of town. Would definitely return to this hotel.
