good times, good price
Hotel was excellent. Service and staff were great. Definitely enjoyed the included imported and domestic alcoholic beverages. Negatives: 1) the local presence on hotel grounds constantly trying to sell gifts and excursions. They dont leave you alone. 2) no nightlife at hotel at all. You have to go out if you dare. 3) you dont want to leave resort. Its mostly all very poor farmland area. 4) although a pretty large selection of food, its not very good. Other than that, it was awesome. landscaping was beautiful. Plenty to do at hotel (except nightlife). I would definitely go again
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Theres nothing to see. Book as many excursions as possible to keep yourself busy or just stay at hotel and swim, eat and drink.

Great value, outstanding service and so much fun!!
The Palladium Bavaro resort exceeded our expectations on every level. The rooms were large, clean, and well appointed. Prior to arrival, we let the front desk know that we were on our Honeymoon and they went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful time. They upgraded us to a Jr. Suite, within 100 ft of the most beautiful beach you can imagine. Provided us with a welcome bottle of Spanish cava, Dominican rum, a beautiful fruit basket, flowers throughout our room, etc.. They had a special Honeymoon dinner for us and the other honeymooners (located at a gorgeous restaurant on the beach) all to ourselves. The food was nothing short of gourmet. Even the breakfast buffet was special. Excellent coffee. Red and white wine at every dinner. Great Coco locos, Pinas, Banana Mamas (with our without Rum) at any of the numerous beach bars, pool bars, lobby bars, theater bars, etc.. Top shelf drinks available at several of the bars too. Our room was stocked on a daily basis with cold beer, coke, fresca, and water, etc. Live entertainment every night to include various bands, and broadway style dance shows in the 2 theaters located at the resort. We were there for a week and never left the resort. And believe me, we normally travel all over the place with we arrive at a new destination - we never just stay put. But it just made better sense for us to maximize our time and enjoy this beautiful resort without having to rush away. The Dance club was great fun. Beach very relaxing and comfortable. Pool bars were fun. The people who stayed at the resort were a mix of couples and families, but no spring breaker types - thank you - no obnoxious behavior or screaming to be found anywhere on the property. They do have a dress code in the evening - long pants for the guys, etc.. Overall very classy. Tip - we rode a taxi from the airport (no brainer) so easy and affordable ($35) total each way. You just walk out of the airport, go to the taxi stop, taxi drivers are all lined up - you take the first one, verify the rate for your resort and climb in (15 to 20 minute ride tops). Better than riding on a slow bus and stopping at god knows how many resorts prior to getting to yours. Getting back to the airport was equally easy - the front desk had a cab for us at the lobby in less than 5 minutes. Tip2 - The only thing that we were not prepared for was a "voucher" that the front desk requested upon arrival at the resort. Still to this day - we dont exactly know what a voucher even looks like. Since we booked through Hotels.com, we did not have a "voucher" and even though they were able to look up our reservation since I had the confirmation number, the front desk staff still wanted a "printer voucher" - so I tried to print out my Hotel.com confirmation page but was not able get into my email for technical issues on our end so they finally (after about 15 mins of trying to get into my email on their kiosk computer)just gave us our key and had the bell boy drive us to our room. My impression is that they wanted anything that was printed out with our confirmation number and that would have made them happy. But this is still a little bit of a mystery to us.
