A Long weekend in Madrid
We booked this hotel because it looked good value, and we were right. However, Leganes is 20 mins outside Madrid centre, and a good 12 min walk to the renfe train station. Right in the middle of a shopping centre, would suit women who like to shop (all of them?) as there were a complete range of clothes shops for all pockets, lots of Tappas bars too. However, clearly Madrid is the main attraction, a fabulous place, thoroughly recommend it, chic, great food, exotic, stunning parks, lots to do, lots of kulcha, esp if you like Art!
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
take a good pair of comfortable walking shoes and a good map, it the best way to see Madrid. And be careful, pickpockets everywhere, hold on to your handbag! Tip 3, only pay 30Euros for the cab ride to and esp from the airport, no more.
