Good on a budget but if you can pay that little more for somewhere better
Here are the positives: Hotel wasn’t too bad, its very close to subway if you want to get into Manhattan or coming from JFK. Room was good size and daily cleaning. The area around the hotel isn’t too bad, never once felt unsafe a very friendly corner of 65th Street and Woodside Ave. Negatives: They don’t store luggage (because of security concerns don’t expect to find lockers anywhere) we had to go to JFK to check luggage in. Breakfast is shockingly poor, only cereal and muffins.
Forget the Empire State Building, do "The Top of The Rocks" tower at Rockefeller Centre much better view of Manhattan and you can see Empire State Building. Have a coffee in the Trump Tower on 5th Ave.

Poor quality hotel
The non-smoking room was smelly and very small. All my clothes smelled of stale smoke after the three-day stay. Hotel was generally rather run down. There was virtually no breakfast area: no tables, no place to put anything down. Dirty plastic trays. No fresh fruit or eggs. Fancy coffee machine but only one choice of coffee available. Staff was courteous and some were even attentive, such as getting me a clean tray when I looked distressed over the breakfast situation.
