Too close to train
Although this hotel is fairly clean and maintained, it has a serious location problem. The train tracks through town are directly across the street from the hotel. There is also a rather seedy bar that is in front of the hotel that was noisy until about 2 am. That is just about the time the first train comes through town. From 2-6am the trains run about every hour. This made it difficult to sleep unless you remember to bring ear plugs. The price was cheap so the old adage applies. You get what you pay for.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
If your in town go see the historic Rusk Train Depot and take the ride. Go to the Cherokee Trace Wildlife Park for a drive through safari. It fun, safe, and lots of animals to feed. The staff at the welcome center was very polite and friendly.
