Just okay

The price was fair and the hotel/staff more than okay. Was hoping to take a dip in the pool, which looked nice on the website. Alas, pool was not open for some reason. That was the only negative. Overall, I’d recommend it.

Beautiful area, Easy to get to

The hotel was clean and easy to get to. Had a computer in the lobby for travelers to log into. The complimentary breakfast was ok, not enough room in the dining area for many people though and it was cramped. Could have had peanut butter for the English muffins or even some hard boiled eggs for protein. Had cereals and toast, but not much for a protein style breakfast. Overall, was a good stay and the desk clerks were very helpful with directions. 15% discount at the diner nearby if you show your room card.

Great hotel & location

Hotel staff was less than friendly, however we didn’t have any problems so it didn’t affect our stay much. Johnny’s diner was EXCELLENT!! We ate there a few times. Upstairs balcony that overlooked the lake was extremely pleasant! Overall great location, close to everything, but felt like you were away from it. Surrounded by trees & lake...very nice.

Johnnys Diner....very good!! Open 24 hours... Steak & Stein next door...not so great...thought it was higher class, but very picnic table-ish.

A Great Hotel for a Great Price

First of all, you simply cannot beat the price. Second, the rooms are very nice: big tv, comfy bed, nice size bathroom and shower, very clean and well maintained. You get free wireless internet, free continental breakfast, and if you go in and out of the Newburgh airport, a free shuttle. You also get a discount at the dinner at the bottom of the hill. The hotel has a beautiful view of a lake and is most convienient for me because it’s located reasonably close to West Point, which I always make frequent trips to because my Fiance is a senior there. Overall it’s a very nice hotel with a very friendly staff and I would definately recommend it to anyone needing to either stay in Newburgh/New Windsor or looking to make a trip to West Point.

Very Good Value

We had an enjoyable three nights. The hotel provided shuttle service from Stewart Airport and was conveniently located for us to visit family in the Cornwall area. It was clean and well-maintained. Overall, it was a very good value for the price.

The price is right

For someone looking for an inexpensive place to stay for the night during a trip, this is a very safe, clean, and well-equipped motel for the price. The front desk staff is still learning the ropes and inexperienced. There is free continental breakfast. However, there is no swimming pool or aerobic equipment. On the other hand, there is excellent shopping and there are excellent restaurants in walking distance.

A good place to stay over night on a trip --- very price-worthy. Good nearby shopping and good near-by restaurants. No swimming pool or gym.

do stay here!!!

this was one of the best hotels that we have stayed at in many years.. the staff was very very helpful and we realy needed help to get around because we needed to go to 3 different states,from there..and this place has the best hot shower around..its near everything, and has a great dinner just at the bottom of the road..if and when we return, its this hotel. price is right too. we stayed 4 nights..in summer..great place and a beautiful view of a lake fr. front rooms...and very clean...enought said....amen

You get what you pay for

You get what you pay for: the hotel was okay - but the queen size bed was more for the little people not someone over 5’ 10". The guest service was more than accommodating. The pool was in need of chlorine. the breakfast was free.

Nice place to stay for economy price

Nicely located, quiet and cozy. Small indoor/outdoor pool (water could be a little warmer in this time of year - spring) The room was clean and beds OK. Ask for new pillows if those in the room do not look very new. Check in and out quick and painless. I am eating big breakfasts and was satisfied with its Colonial one. Fresh product added every time needed. Bring your own no-lactose milk if you don’t use cow’s for your cereal. A few yards away is a good Dinner with more choices and more calories.

Improved from Last Stay

The hotel has undergone much needed interior maintenance renovations since my last stay (2007). New carpeting, wallpaper, and paint makes it a much more comfortable and cheerful place to stay at an appropriate, affordable cost.

strictly business

This is a decent hotel for a short business stay. The price is cheap enough that you shouldn’t expect much. They do have a indoor pool but it is closed during the winter months. No work out facility. The room was clean but it was a no smoking area of the hotel that reaked of smoke. The room didn’t smell but the halls sure did. Go figure.

Nice Surprise

This was a very nice place to stay for the money, and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Also, it is easy to find and near many reasonable restaurants and stores for supplies. Also very convenient to the thruway.

Clean enough. No major complaints. Pillows weren’t the best. Room could be bigger. Location was nice - fairly close to the airport, restaurants, and stores; very nice view of a pretty reservoir across the street. Nothing stood out as exceptional.

The hotel was adequate. It was a good clean place to stay.

The manager was great. Get good directions for the area.

The hotel is not in the center of town. There is a nice river area which is hard to find. Across the bridge there is a nice small town, Beacon which is very nice.

Just fine

Stayed a night, everything was fine, room was clean, hotel was quiet. The breakfast was a bit sparse, but other than that, no complaints.

A good place to wait for a flight from Stewart Airport

This is a fairly new building and is clean and comfortable, if not luxurious. It backs up to I-87 and fronts a busy highway, so traffic noise is an issue (although we didn’t hear the airport). Try to get a second-floor room on the front. Luckily we tried the coffee pot when we checked in and found it non-functional. After 3 tries, the housekeeper found one that worked. The experience worked for us since we had a 6 am flight out of Stewart, which is literally 5 minutes away.

The restaurant in front of the motel is OK. Loud, so-so pizza with good homemade sauce on a prefab crust. With the 10% discount you get with your room key, it’s very reasonable.

Good value

Here’s a quick list - positives defintely outweigh the negatives: Positives - Rooms, lobby and corridors of hotel very clean, good location close to many parks and highways, 15 min drive to Woodbury shopping outlets, good diner at front of hotel, pool and sun terrace OK, wireless internet very fast. Negatives - close to highway so back rooms get noticable traffic noise (not enough to stop me sleeping), breakfast room very small and limited choice only, so get in there early or forget it.

Schlesinger steakhouse about 1 mile away was recommended by a fellow guest in hotel - great atmosphere, super food and a very well ventilated cigar bar.

It’s a Days Inn

It was exactly what I expected for a hotel in on this tier. Clean and the staff was attentive and friendly. It has a pool, but I was disappointed by the hours. It opens at 10am closes at 8pm...well outside the timeframe I would have liked.

Not Impressed

Not very friendly, limited amenities, a little musty/smoky smelling.
