All promises ... No delivery
When I checked in, they tried to put me on the first floor in between the elevator and maid’s supply room. When I asked to be moved, they insisted that I had to pay more money for another room, period. There is no consierge at this hotel. I found this to be a big problem. The front desk said they could operate in such a capacity, but I had unbelievable results. Four times they explicitily said thay had made appropriate arrangements for me (day trips, airport shuttles, etc.). None of these reservations were made and I only discovered this after the first fiasco and then called these companies directly. Finally, on my last night in the country, the front desk claimed (three separate times...) that they had made arrangement for my in-room (ligitamate) massage. When the person never should up, I called the front desk and they spewed excuses for nearly 5 minutes as to why no one was there. If you’re a New Zealander staying in Wellington for business for one night, stay here. If you are someone else, don’t even think of staying here.
