A Perfect Place to be pampered and to relax!

My husband and I went to Barbados to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We could not have been happier with The House. The room was clean and well decorated, the bathroom was large and also clean. Our 3rd story view was excellent as well. The Ambassador service was great. They pampered us with their attention and service. The breakfast included was very good and there were a lot of choices to be made each morning!! The afternoon tea was lovely and just hit the spot. Overall, it was a great, quiet, relaxing place to stay. I would highly recommend The House to anyone looking for a place where you can really get away from your regular routine and de-stress but to also be made to feel like you are staying in a home.

Fantastic service great location

Ideally situated on the West Coast close to Sandy Lane and between Tides and The Cliff restaurants. The Ambassadors were friendly, helpful and made you feel welcome from day one. The hotel itself was very good, and although it lacked the wow factor on arrival, we really grew to love it over the course of the ten days and were sad to leave at the end of the trip..

The tourist catamarans anchor about two hotels up the beach every morning at 11am for the swimming with turtles day trips. A 3 min walk up the beach followed by a short swim off shore means you can enjoy that for free.

Great Trip

My b/f and I went to the House for labor day weekend 2009. It was everything we were looking for. relaxing, restful, personalized service, amazing view, etc. The Hotel is personalized 1x1 service -There is NOTHING formal about it. They they bring you complimentary smoothies - They schedule your free 30 min massage. Everything is simply heaven. If you are looking for a hotel with a big pool, a lot of action, a swim up bar, big lobby with a bar, lots of people hanging out, music pumping then the House is NOT for you. But if you want a more relaxed atmosphere, a restful vacation, then this is the place. An Ambassador is there to handle anything you need. We loved Dillian, Kelvin, and Andrew. If I had to think of anything negative about the HOUSE it would be that it is an island and it is "island living" so sometimes you need to just follow up and confirm that things were done. As far as Barbados itself.... Sept is a great time to go bc it is very quiet but it is important to note that many of the restaurants close for the month of September which was somewhat of a bummer for us. The weather was absolutely perfect. For the island I would recommend: Scuba with Blue Barbados. I would DEFINITELY recommend "Good Times" Catamaran. As far as The House - We are in our early 30’s and the people were a good mix of 25-45. Overall a great trip!Ryan and Shannon Sept 2009

Traveller's tip

This is a relaxing place to go -- if you want something more lively and party filled you should look at another hotel more on the south shore.
