Lovely hotel, shame about the view !!

We stayed the first night of our holiday in August at this hotel for a night of luxury before moving on. I have to say I never saw the pictures of our room on the website, and there I was looking forward to seeing the bathroom with the windows through to the bedroom and how disappointed I was. Our room although very good was not as fancy as the pictures I had seen, but was certainly a little luxury we wanted after our boat trip. The main thing that let it down for us was the view from the window, in fact I have no idea what the view was as the window was frosted and wouldnt open. There wasnt any natural light so I cant imagine it was a great view and that probably explains the frosted pane. The breakfast was great and was on the top floor with doors open to the rooftop terrace, which was a lovely view to eat your breakfast by. Although there is parking at the hotel, it was full when we arrived so we had to go to a payable car park around the corner, although the porters helped us with our bags before we went off to park and gave us very good instructions as to how to find it. All-in-all a pleasant enough stay for one night and therefore not too bothered about the view. If we had been staying longer I would have wanted a better room, but with that comes cost and as its already a costly hotel, I might have been saying the place was over priced.

Traveller's tip on local attractions

I wanted to stop in Bilbao so I could visit the Guggenheim Museum. We couldnt have been better placed, as we were across the road and seriously we were even closer than that sounds as the road is only a very small one.
