Excellent location for Moulin Rouge & Sacre Coure
Ideal location for trips to the Moulin Rouge and Sacre Coure. 5-10 mins walk to Blanche metro station. Superb view from rooftop terrace. This was a trip for our Silver Wedding,we were not dissapointed. Plenty bistros near-by. Stayed in a classic room with a panoramic view of the Eiffel Tower. The bath was a little small for tall people. Toileries, robe, slippers, tea & coffee supplied in room. Would stay here again.

Rude
we felt unwelcome, to put it bluntly. Treated like we were stupid, not given directions when we even asked in a friendly way "Where is the nearest metro stop?" Made to feel like we couldnt even sit in the restaurant. (Never even asked if we wanted to order something and totally ignored us.) We have traveled extensively and always find a hotel that does their job properly, especially in a foreign country, makes you feel welcome, gives you tips, can offer to book things for you. Not here. There was no "service" at all. Every question I had (which was not many, as I became afraid to ask) was greeted with a blank stare. Not even the simplest amenities like an ice machine.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
This is pretty far out of the way from most sights except Sacre Coeur....so be prepared to learn the metro lines inside and out (Green to Yellow will get you most places) OR spend millions on rude cabbies who will try to cheat you.

Gem in Montmartre
Accommodating staff and well equipped rooms. Decent size for Parisian standards. Good location for both scouring the neighborhood and access to city center. The rooftop terrass is a must see, especially at night while the Eiffel Tower is glittering. Many good restaurants and cafes within walking distance.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
If you like flea markets do go to the Saint Ouen flea market - about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Plan to spend some time there as it is large.
