Downtown Value Inn Portland - March visit
This low-budget hotel provided refrigerators and microwaves inside the rooms which was convenient for someone intending to stay for more than a few days. While the hotel itself is not physically attractive, the service was very good. I would recommend it to those who are not fussy and just need a place to sleep for a few nights.

Downtown Value Inn
If you’re looking for a hotel with a pretty good location near downtown and don’t really care too much about the quality of the place itself, this is a fine place to stay. I would recommend the Downtown Value Inn to someone who isn’t going to spend a whole lot of time in the room and is really just looking for something affordable near downtown.

Better than expected!
I knew going in that this was not a 5 star hotel, when I entered the lobby I was not super encouraged, It had a strong smell of insence....But I was plesantly suprised with my room, It was clean and the bathroom even appeared to have been recently remodeled. I tore back the sheets right away to look for bedbugs, as some of the other reviews had mentioned these,the sheets were clean and no bedbugs to be seen, after a two nights I can say this is a great value if your staying in the Portland area and your not looking for a 4-5 star Hotel....It is porbably a 2-3 star hotel at best....but on the basis of what I paid for what i got I would rate it a 5/5....The location is awesome!! It is right next to the Street car stop! All of Portland downtown mass tranist is free! I would stay there again! I would recommend it to anyone who wants to save money and isnt super picky...you could probably find a lot of problems, but the value for me was definelty there!
