a great place to stay

This hotel was very centrally located for our stay in Barcelona. The room was small but had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The only bad point was a couple of noisy guests during one of our nights stay but I would definately go back again to this hotel.

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Definately buy the 2 day pass for the tourist bus but make sure you go on the green bus turistic and not the red city tour. The green one has 4 routes where the red one only has 2 so it is much better value for money and also buy water from the supermarket on Las Ramblas as it is a fraction of the price.

Nice hotel, rooms too small

Barcelona is expensive and this hotel was the most expensive on our trip and and the most uncomfortable. The location is great, staff great, hotel facilities fine. The thing is, the rooms are way too small! Other reviewers had said this, but I didn’t fully appreciate it until arrival. My husband said, "This is like sleeping in a camper!" And that accurately describes it. I didn’t dare unpack anything because adding things to the room just made less space!

Very Nice Hotel

Perfect location, close to transportation, restaurants, La Rambla and Plaza Catalunya. Very clean facilities and rooms, excellent English-speaking desk staff. Free wireless internet in rooms is a plus. Standard rooms are tiny...if you’re staying for more than a night or two, upgrade to a superior room in the front with a balcony. We stayed two weeks and never had a complaint. We’ll go back and would recommend it to anyone unless you’re looking for a larger suite at a much higher price.

Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks

Hotel breakfast is very expensive. Better off buying pastries and coffee at the nearby Starbucks. Lots of great restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel.
