Impressed with Staff and Breakfast
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Great location! Within walking distance, I feel, to everywhere exciting and out of the way enough to ensure a good nights rest. I would definitly recommend this hotel and if you do decide to stay, be sure to have a meal out by the pool, the service of the waiters is great!! You have to leave your key with the front desk, when you go out, but there is always someone there to help you at the desk, so it is actually a good thing....you are almost sure to not lose your key.

Great Surprise!
I had originally booked a reservation at a much more expensive hotel and decided to go cheaper to save some money. Le Richelieu turned out to be even better than the more expensive first option. The staff is always available and extremely friendly, and genuinely so. The location is great as it is in the quarter, but also jsut a few short blocks to Frenchman Street, so no matter what you want to do with your night, you are in a great spot. My boyfriend and I ended most night with a final cocktail sitting out in the garden patio, very beautiful spot. I have already recomended this hotel to people I know who are heading down to NOLA in th coming months!

Not Very Clean
The room was very musty and moldy smelling, had a hard time breathing in there. The a/c can’t be adjusted and there is no fan in the bathroom which added to the humidity. Under the bathroom sink, the floor was filthy and a condom was found under one of the beds when hunting for a misplaced shoe. Overall, the hotel is in need of a lot of work. The staff are mostly nice and helpful but certainly no more so than one would expect in any hotel. The hotel is not inexpensive enough to justify its shortcomings and I couldn’t recommend it to anyone. Spend just a little more and get a lot more.
