Beautiful! Service needs some improvement
The Punta Cana/Bavaro beach is beautiful. The food is good, it just needs more variety. The service needs some improvement. I recommend you stay at Barcelo Premium Suites since it is brand new and the rooms a vary modern with a Jaccusi on the balcony. People are friendly, however they need more personel for so many people traveling in the summer.

THE BEST VACATION I HAVE EVER HAD
All have nothing but wonderful things to say about the Dominican people and their beautiful country. We were upgraded to a much better resort upon arrival to extra cost to us. The food at all the different restaurants and buffets was spectacular, the beaches were crystal clear. Resort was clean and quiet and the service was second to none. We are planning another trip next year.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
negotiate the prices of anything you are buying and also the excursions. Everything there is negotiable. Speaking a little spanish certainly helps but not necessary.

Excellant Weekend Getaway.
We stayed Jul 31 - Aug 3 and could not asked for a better hotel, location, and weather. We had a premium suite with a fantastic view of the Sea. Food was great and the staff was friendly and helpful.
