Not a good place to stay

First of all I’d like to say that I didn’t have a choice in staying here. This hotel was the only place to stay in the area. The next closest hotel was about 28 miles from where I was visiting or I would have stayed someplace else. I arrived at three o’clock in the morning and the desk clerk was very polite and friendly. We reserved a suite and got one large room with a refrigerator and there was a mocrowave on top of the refrigerator, but I never used it, so I don’t know if it worked. The room was hot! The AC was turned off when we arrived. I could feel all of the springs in the mattress and the sheets were dingy. The carpet was dirty and I could see where they had spotted it when trying to clean it. The bathroom wasn’t clean and the toilet paper was rough. The bath towels were rough and very thin. There was no shamppo, conditioner or lotion and when I asked for stationery the manager told me that Super 8 doesn’t require they supply it. The carpet in the elevator and the hallways was dirty also and they only had three handicap spaces for parking which were always filled. I didn’t get up for the continental breakfast. I have to visit this area again next year, but I won’t be staying here. Yes, it’s convenient, but I’d rather drive 28 miles than stay at this hotel again. If you absolutely have to stay here you might be able to tolerate it, but don’t waste your money on the suite unless you really need the refrigerator.

Traveller's tip on dining

There is a Mexican restaurant right across the highway from Super 8 and the food is good. Also, there is another reataurant, "The Depot" and it’s pretty good, too. McDonald’s is close by and there is a Burger King nearby as well.
