nice place
hotel Wailea the good : - is very very spacious - clean - lovely views - nice confort the bad: - totally un healthy breakfast the ugly - far (0.4 miles) from the beach / comercial area

Not impressed
Hotel Wailea is located in an upper scale neighborhood, apparently under new management is currently undergoing a renovation, the grounds are beautiful, the pool area fabulous, the rooms are disappointing, you will either end up with the living area and bedroom looking quite attractive and a crappy bathroom, visa versa or both. The staff are wonderful and if you don’t mind unattractive bathrooms you will enjoy the facility. I did not partake of the continental breakfast so I cannot comment. In general the room would need a more completed appearance for me to recommend this hotel.

A great place!!!!
The lay-out and landscape design are perfect. you can really enjoy your self with the grand views and structure of this hotel. It does not look like a hotel but rather like a private resort with two-story bongolows that are very well kept and surrounded with all sort of beautifull plants, trees and running water down the center of it all that colorful fish swim through it all.
Traveller's tip on dining
to save money go to the super market and check out the hot/cooked foods you will find a wide amount of choices, at a fraction of the prices of resteruants. also check out the mall by the airport. macys, sears, ect. I kept away fearing was to expensive but I wish I had found it first.
