Old-world elegance
Ever since this Galveston hotel opened in 1911, Hotel Galvez has been known as the “Queen of the Gulf,” and rightfully so; she majestically rises from the beachfront to hold court over the Gulf of Mexico.

Biker Rally
The hotel was a nice diversion from the Biker Rally we attended that weekend. It allow me to enjoy both the elegant, relaxing comforts of a getaway. After enjoying a rowdy and rough day of listening to choppers and bikers.

Loved the character!
I loved the character of the Hotel Galvez and thought it presented itself better than the online pictures. We didnt stay on the newley renovated 6th floor - but our room was still very nice and didnt feel old or dingy in any way. I just wish the Hotel had balconys so you could get the gulf breeze! The Pool area was beautiful but I didnt get to enjoy because our stay was not long enough - Boo! My friend who reciently moved to Galveston said that the food there was wonderful. My Husband and I found the atmosphere of the restaurant to be very stuffy and just not our kind of place so we just chose to eat elsewear. Over all we had a wonderful stay on our 4th anniversary and Id definatly stay again.

The Best Hotel In Galveston!
The Hotel Galvez is the most beautiful historic hotel we have ever been to. The staff is friendly and attentive to all your needs. They treat you like royalty. We had a beautiful large room on the sixth floor with a view of the gulf. The hotel is clean and the food is excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for the entire week. We highly recommend The Hotel Galvez if you are ever in Galveston, Texas.
Traveller's tip on dining
Seawall Blvd. has many fine restaurants, but wander away from the action and explore the unknown, authentic, family owned restaurants throughout town, downtown, and near the harbor.
