Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Lake Buena Vista

Excellent value in convenient location!

We stayed here the first couple of weeks in November 2009 (just returned). The staff were helpful, the hotel was easy to find just off exit 68 of interstate 4 and was extremely convenient for the main tourist attractions, just a mile from Downtown Disney. The hotel offered free shuttle bus to Epcot, 8.45, 11.00 and 1.00, and return at 6.00, 8.00 or 10.30. We used the shuttle throughout our stay saving 14 dollars car park fee per day and the hassle of driving etc. You then use one of the transportation systems from Epcot to the rest of the Disney parks. The hotel was only approx 15 minutes drive from Seaworld and 20 mins approx from Universal, just straight up the interstate 4 which was straightforward. Room was clean and was absolutely fine, had all you needed, including fridge, and microwave. The free breakfast was good, it had a choice of three cereals, hard boiled eggs, toast, bagels, muffins, danish, yoghurts, one fruit choice, make your own waffles, tea, coffee and juices. This set us up for the day. If you wanted a change there was a sizzlers next door, or SHoney’s opposite which did a eat as much as you can breakfast (very cheap) and other restaurants within easy walking distance, including IHOP. Hotel pool was small but we had it to ourselves so not a problem, and there was plenty of free parking as we stayed here out of season. I would most definitely return to this hotel if we are fortunate enough to be able to return to Orlando for a holiday.

We went on 29th October and so saw Disney decorated in Halloween and left on November 12th and also saw it decorated for CHristmas. Being out of season meant little queues for rides, no problems parking in hotel etc. Weather was also great, very warm, about 26 degrees and no rain as the hurricance season has just ended.

Great for the price!

We booked this hotel with a great price during an Expedia sale and we were very impressed with what we got. It was actually much better than we expected. The location is the greatest. Breakfast is also a highlight. The rooms are fine too. If you are looking for a good location with a good price and do not worry about extra and fancy amenities, this is the way to go.

Exellent hotel for price

Nice hotel, within walking distance of Downtown Disney. Continental breakfast could do with a little more variation but Sizzlers next door.
