A perfect fit for our trip!
We were down from St. Louis for 4-day trip to visit U of Miami. Hotel has awesome bay view and very short walk to Starbucks and COCO walk with shops, good eating--frozen yogurt and mojitios! Great for runners, beautiful course along bayfront through parks. Hotel across street from Chamber of Commerce--good info. Hotel staff friendly & helpful. ONLY ISSUE: Extra charge for vallet parking (no self-park) each day. I must have missed this in info (if it was there?) during booking. Was safe and efficient though, just a suprise charge. WILL GO BACK!
Hotel is only a 20 to 30 minute drive from Key Biscayne-- nice, clean family beaches at state parks on island.

Sonesta at Coconut Grove: great value
We stayed 3 nights at the sonesta. The location is great, withing walking distance from Coco Walk, a shopping place, with lots of places for food and drinks. The bad side of the hotel was that the pool deck was under maintenance, but hopefully when you go the pool will be in service.

Johny Rockets is just around the corner, there’s also a Cheesecake factory, a Hooters and an all-you can-eat place named The Knife serving argentinian steaks.
