Great Location
We stayed at the De Rose Palace Hotel for a few nights in mid-October 2009. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance from the train station (though, check the map carefully; we meandered for a while before we found the hotel) and from central Florence. De Rose Palace Hotel has a nice “old world” charm, with cool wooden-shuttered windows, and the staff is friendly. Check out the nearby pizzeria “Funiculi” and “Trattoria Baldini,” both walking distance on Via Il Prato.

Great Stay!
The hotel is walking distance from the train station and the rest of Florence. It is clean, quiet and a comfortable stay. The staff is also very nice. We definitely enjoyed our time at the hotel and would stay there again the next time we go to Florence.

Recommend Highly
The De Rose Palace Hotel in Firenze was extremely comfortable and in a very quiet neighborhood close to the opera house. A short walk across the Arno puts you in the Oltrarno area which is less tourist-populated than in the heart of town. The staff of the De Rose were very friendly and accomodating. If you are looking for an attractive and comfortable place to stay, this is it!
