Charming hotel

This is a nice clean old style hotel with a lot of character and charm. Pub style resturant had good food.

Pleasantly Surprised

Decor was rich and comfortable. Enjoyed looking at old airline pictures - disappointed there was no Eastern Airline information as I am a retired Eastern pilot. Only drawback was small tables for lunch/dinner service - barely room for table service for our group of four. (There was a wedding reception - perhaps that’s why we weren’t in room where breakfast was served next day with larger tables?) My wife compliments the chef for the best pasta ratouille she’s ever had. I enjoyed the sea bass and a salad very much. Was hoping to enjoy some Irish music but, like in all of Ireland, never able to stay up long enough after 10 to enjoy it. Believe it was cancelled for the evening though because of the wedding reception. Breakfast was a delightful buffet with a generous variety of choices. Only inconvenience was that the internet was down for checking our travel itineraries which, I’m sure, was frustrating for management also. All in all, a lovely hotel.

Lovely hotel close to airport - only an E8 cab ride away. Adjacent to gas station which helped American drivers tremendously in not having to cross traffic several times, looking the wrong way and possibly getting in wrong lane. Only drawback is not close to other pubs if you’d want to do a walking pub crawl on your last night before departure, however, hotel bar very nice.
