Trouble with cleanliness
Decent enough hotel at a good price, we had a problem with one of our rooms in the 2-room suite being dirty, and issues in getting it cleaned.

Okay considering limited options in Ft Madison
Had a 4-night stay, here is the breakdown: Pros: - Room was clean when we arrived - Kids loved the pool Cons: - Internet (wifi) only worked in random 10 minute chunks though we were 20 feet from the WAP - After our first night there we only got one of the two double beds made, still not sure what decided which bed got made. - Microwave was not close enough to a plug and had no extension cord, we had to move it to the floor every time we used it - No iron in the room, though we got one from the front desk after they had to find one in housekeeping - Smell of smoke came in at times. The Travelodge website shows a "100% smoke-free hotel" icon that is a bit misleading, as the icon leads you to a list of only 19 of their properties that are smoke free I did not see any evidence of the construction mentioned in an earlier review, either ongoing or completed. The pool was the saving grace for our experience here, the kids loved it.
