Great hotel, great location
What a wonderful experience! Hotel staff were terrific; private parking in the garage with my name on it, great breakfasts, Herald Tribune every morning. Room was large, bright and comfortable. Staff went out of their way to make sure that we were happy...this despite having several groups in the hotel. Location is just about ideal, on the ring road around central Beaune. Restaurant was good and service was very good. I would return without hesitation.

perfect location, charming hotel
The ease of parking and location right outside the wall of Beaune would be reason enough to like this hotel. Comfortable well designed room and a superb make us look forward to a return visit.

Hotel De La Poste - Beaune
Good quality hotel on the ring road around the old town. The rooms have air conditioning which is a good job as the noise from the road would keep you awake at night. For a 4 star hotel I was surprised to find NO restuarant on a Tuesday night. If you are there for one night it is pretty irrelevant for them to say they have a very good restuarant for the rest of the week. They are three star on the internet not 4 star. When the restaurant is open the wine list starts at three time the price of a good meal, one (average) cognac cost me more than 2 lunches the next day.

Go to Citeau Chateau in Mersault for good but less expensive wine, there is a good little cafe in Puligny-Montrachet which has a very inexpensive 4 course lunch, decor very basic but food good and wine great (on the square). Hotel de Abbeye in Beaune good quality, well priced menu (quaint setting too)
